Crazy Defense Heroes is a game that launches ahead of other games on the blockchain due to having a strong company behind its development and focus on lots of gameplay aspects that make the game fun and engaging despite the earning aspect.

With over a thousand levels that will be sure to challenge your abilities and more than 400 cards that combine Heroes, Towers, Spells, and Equipment, there’s a lot to master in this game. Not only the base aspect of the game is intense, but it also counts with seasonal invasions, that provide unique attributes to certain monsters, turning them into a whole new challenge, Clan system let you join other like-minded players and fight against the biggest bosses, share materials, and complete clan quests.

Exploring the Game

In order to properly understand the game we have to break it down into some parts. Let's begin with Cards. Cards are divided into 4 categories and they influence the most on the game.

Tower Cards

Tower Cards are types of Battle Cards that can be placed on specific spots on the level. They have varying ranges and unique abilities, that can be unlocked as you upgrade the cards. Tower Cards are the main force in order to kill the swarms of enemies, they act as the range aspect of the defense, while Hero Cards will be the melee one.

Cards have four types of Rarity: Common, Rare, Epic, and Legendary, which will define not only the number of upgrades and unique abilities, but also the damage each tower is capable of giving. Currently, there are over 30 Tower Cards on the game, but this number is likely to keep expanding. 

Tower Cards are immune to damage and keep battling during the entire wave.

Hero Cards

Hero Cards are also Battle Cards to face enemies and protect your base. Unlike Tower Cards, Heroes can be placed and moved anywhere on the battlefield. They are mostly melee attackers, but also have special skills. Heroes follow card upgrading mechanics, meaning they need Resources in order to have their full power unlocked and evolve further.

Each player has an Avatar that works more or less like a Hero. The most notable is the fact that Avatars stats are defined not by upgrading, but by Avatar Level, since they are not cards. Avatars are also fully customizable and is also present on the battlefield at every level, regardless of the Hero restrictions of the level.

Hero Cards are susceptible to damage and can faint in battle. They require time to be revived or the spent of Gems to do it instantly.

Spell Cards

Spell Cards can be defensive and/or offensive. They have all sorts of effects, such as massive area damage, summoning creatures, freezing enemies, buffing heroes, among others.

All Spell Cards have “Cooldowns”, time intervals while the card is “recharging” so it can be used again. While Spell Cards are useful and should be taken into account when strategizing, they can’t be relied upon like Towers, due to the cooldown periods.

Equipment Cards

This type of card is used to customize the appearance of your Avatar, as well as its Stats. Equipment can affect the Avatar’s abilities, such as attack, movement speed, health regen, among others.

There are six types of equipment cards and your avatar can use one of each type. Like any other cards, Equipment can be upgraded, but they use their exclusive pool of materials that aren’t used by Tower, Spell, or Hero cards.

Affinity

Another game element is Affinity. There are three affinities in the game: Moon, represented by a purple moon, Sun, and Cloud. Most of the cards in the game have affinity with one of these elements. 

Some levels of the game modify the cards according to affinity: One affinity trait is boosted while another is weaker.

Tokenomics

Aside from being an interesting and complex game, that can be played for the joy of it, Crazy Defense Heroes also has the Play to Earn aspect that is represented on the TOWER Token.

The "Tower Experiment" is an initiative by developer and publisher Animoca Brands to blend traditional Free-to-Play gaming with the Play-to-Earn potential of blockchain gaming. The goal is to build a system that maintains balance and equitability in traditional Free-to-Play games while introducing various attractive features of blockchain, including non-fungible tokens (NFTs), decentralized finance (DeFi), and governance. 

The basis of the Tower Experiment is the TOWER Token and TOWER Platform. The TOWER Token is an ERC-20 fungible utility token for the TOWER Platform. The TOWER Platform comprises the token, the Free-to-Play games in the Crazy Kings franchise, and the blockchain component providing the economic infrastructure for the ecosystem of games.

The total supply of TOWER Tokens is fixed at 10 billion, all minted at once on 25 February 2021. TOWER is allocated to 6 pools, with the single largest one being the Play-to-Earn Pool.

There are currently no plans for a TOWER Token private sale, however TOWER is/will be obtainable via multiple methods, including: 

• Play-to-Earn: currently, players can earn TOWER in Crazy Defense Heroes by advancing their game progress and earning XP. Players will also be able to earn TOWER by playing the blockchain game, when that becomes available.
• Uniswap:  TOWER is currently available on Uniswap paired with ether (ETH), REVV, Lympo (LYM), and SUPER.
